The Magnet Academies 2018-2019 application period for
Lafayette Parish School System’s Magnet Academy will host its annual Lottery event on February 20, 2018. Parent dashboards will be updated with students’ status. Parents will also now have the option to accept or decline seat assignments online. A paper copy will still be mailed for those who do not have access to the parent dashboard. Parents must accept or decline seat assignments within 15 days of being accepted. Any seats not accepted will result in an auto-decline. Phase II applications will open February 27, 2018, for any students still interested in the Magnet Academies. These seats will be placed on a first come first serve basis where there are seats available and no waitlist.
